This requirement is for two (2) liquid chromatography instruments equipped with Triple Quadrupole (QQQ) Mass Spectrometer ion funnel technology in support of the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/OEA) NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SINGLE SOURCE: The NAICS Code is 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RMZB), located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, intends to award a sole source purchase order as authorized by RFO 12.102(a) to Agilent Technologies, Inc. In order to comply with RFO 5.101(c)(4)(vii), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: Agilent Technologies, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the two (2) liquid chromatography instruments equipped with Triple Quadrupole (QQQ) Mass Spectrometer as they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sole developer of the required MassHunter software.
