ITEM DESCRIPTION: Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane intends to modify Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) # N0016425GWP16 to add Klystron Tube Manufacturing and Repair requirements to the overarching agreement. The proposed contract action is for a modification to BOA # N0016425GWP16 for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Microwave Power Products (MPP), 811 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA 94304 (Cage Code: 99313) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source). For the purposes of this BOA, this modification is to add Klystron Tube Manufacturing, Evaluation, Repair and Rebuild, MPP is the only source that possesses proprietary technical data, specialized testing equipment, and manufacturing processes required to produce, repair, and rebuild the AN/SPS-49 Klystron tubes without causing substantial duplication of costs or unacceptable delays.
