The Energy Efficiency Studies (EES) Department offers a broad range of expertise primarily in support of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Appliance & Equipment Standards Program and its mission to promulgate standards (through a rulemaking process) that achieve the maximum improvement in energy efficiency that is both technologically feasible and economically justified. EES conducts research and develops a unique and powerful set of core capabilities, including: energy policy analysis, cost-benefits assessment, including uncertainty and variability analysis, product life-cycle cost analysis, energy modeling and forecasting, environmental impacts assessment. EES analysis cover a range of products, including residential appliance, commercial and industrial equipment, and lighting system. The selected offeror will be responsible for two primary projects: Energy conservation standards analysis and text procedure development.
