This is a pre-solicitation notice of a proposed contract action issued in accordance with FAR 5.204 and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. This is not a solicitation or invitation for offerors to submit bids. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), located at 320 First St. NW, Washington DC, anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BPCC25Q00000025 for a single award of a firm-fixed price (FFP) requirements contract for Brand Name Pyxis Automated Medication Dispensing Machines, manufactured by BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), licenses and maintenance and support. This is in accordance with FAR 6.103-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, specifically FAR 6.103-1(d) Brand name description. The machines will be utilized at 121 institutions throughout the United States. A Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition is being prepared and will be posted with the solicitation. The performance period will be October 1, 2025-September 30, 2030.
