SUBJECT Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the C-130 Nose Radome, Part Number (P/N) 3333921-1, NSN 1560-01-417-5455LG. ITEM DESCRIPTION The radome is a composite aero shell that requires specialized tooling to produce. This radome assembly encloses the radar, glideslope and microwave landing system and is a critical part in the radars transmission efficiency and degradation requirements for the enclosed systems. The C-130 radome is military unique and not commercial. Any C-130 radome vendor(s) found would have to build radomes to the military unique specifications and requirements of part number 3333921-1, NSN 1560-01-417-5455LG and meet critical performance requirements to include the requirement of specialized tooling to allow the part to match the complex contours necessary of the nose radome.
