PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENT TO AWARD ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS TO JOHNSON CONTROLS NAVY SYSTEMS, LLC. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract for services to overhaul and repair to two (2) permanently installed York R-134 units onboard a Virginia Class Submarine on a sole source basis to Johnson Controls Navy Systems, LLC. This requirement meets the conditions of far 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source is able to provide the type of service that will satisfy the agency requirement. This acquisition of commercial services uses policies and procedures of FAR Subpart 13.5 with appropriate FAR Part 12 provisions and clauses.
