Special Notice

The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific), hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a standalone contract with a one (1) year base period with the potential of four (4) subsequent one (1) year optional periods to Raytheon Company on an other than full and open competition basis in direct support of the Technical, Engineering, and Modernization Support Services for NIWC PAC DDG-1000 project, AN/SSC-15 X/Ka Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-(a)(1). The total estimated value is: $3,764,231.33.The incumbent, Raytheon Company, hereby referred to as Raytheon, is the original company responsible for developing SATCOM since the inception and has been the sole development team supporting SATCOM and garnering an invaluable experience and core knowledge in how the system works at every facet.
