Next Generation Logistics Ship (NGLS) Concept Design Multiple Award Contract (MAC) Solicitation; The NGLS Program is a new class of ships intended to augment the current Combat Logistics Force ships. The NGLS will enable refueling, rearming, and resupply of Naval and USMC assets ? afloat and ashore ? in support of Distributed Maritime Operations, Littoral Operations Contested Environment, and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations. The NGLS is envisioned to be smaller than existing ships in the Combat Logistics Force, and will operate in global maritime domains, sustaining afloat and ashore Navy and USMC requirements. NGLS is currently conceived to be a single ship type providing Refuel, Resupply, and Rearm capabilities. This Request for Proposals (RFP) requires that the Contractor(s) shall deliver cost effective ship designs and approaches that meet the capabilities required by Next Generation Logistics Ship (NGLS) Circular of Requirements (COR) Rev 1.17.
