The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support organization for the Navys ships, submarines, military watercraft and unmanned vehicles. This requirement is for NSWCPD Code 71, which is responsible for Major Programs, FFG-62 Land Based Engineering Site Enterprise (LBESe), and current and future test sites. This requirement is for two (2) Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers (PHE) to support land-based testing of prototypical shipboard systems. One PHE will support a Seawater representative, and the other PHE will support a Freshwater representative Closed Loop Cooling Water System. The Seawater representative system will use demineralized water as the fluid medium on the process side and freshwater as the fluid medium on the condenser side. The Freshwater representative system will use demineralized water as the fluid medium on both the process and condenser side.
