***Posting of the Bid Abstract**** Amendment 0001 is issued to update Wage Determination MI20250045. The bid suspense date remains the same on August 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM (Eastern). Reference the amendment document for full details. ****This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is being solicited as unrestricted. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) owns and maintains the West Breakwater in the Keweenaw Waterway (Upper) Entry near Houghton, Michigan. The breakwater is approximately 2,645 feet long and consists of timber crib and rubble mound construction. The inner 845 feet is a timber crib with concrete cap covered in armor stone. The remaining 1,800 feet of the breakwater is rock filled timber crib covered in armor stone. The breakwater was constructed as part of several projects that began in 1898 with the outer 1,800 feet finished in 1933. Rehabilitation projects have also been completed on the breakwater with the last occurring in the early 2000s. Non-native stamp sand is currently migrating through and/or over the breakwater into the Federally Authorized Channel which is increasing the frequency and costs related to keeping the channel at its authorized depth.
