STATEMENT OF NEED (SON) Lebanon VA Medical Center Title of Project: Brand Name or Equal to CardioNet LLC., Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of need (SON), except as may otherwise be specified. Contractor shall provide portable Event Electrocardiogram (ECG) Monitors to Veterans upon Physician s order. Event ECG Monitors shall transmit data wirelessly utilizing encryption and data shall be monitored by Contractor provided Certified Monitoring Technicians. The contractor shall provide a summarized report in a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) compliant web based online venue and/or by fax for interpretation by the ordering Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center Physician. Ordering VA Medical Center Physician shall be alerted by telephone for all severe cardiac events as determined by the VA Medical Center Physician. Cost incurred shall be per Veteran placed on monitoring. Background: Lebanon VA Medical Center has a need for the capability to monitor patients per for ECG cardiac events.
