RFIs - 24 September 2025 RFI Question: Does Bldg 1408 and 1409 need a NEW lightning protection system, including new downleads and grounds, to meet the requirements provided in the amendment? Response: Just the points that are in contact with new roof system. The Lightening Protection is on both buildings now. The problem is that, its copper. We are changing the roof system from concrete tils to a steel roof system. Copper cannot be used on a metal roof system. So all points connected to the new roof system has the be aluminum. In the attic, these parts will be converted from aluminum back to copper wire in the attic per code. RFI Question: To clarify, does the lightning protection system need to be installed on all 3 buildings or just BLDG 1408 as shown in the updated drawing? Response: Buildings 1408 and 1409 are the same buildings, therefore lightening protection will need to be included for buildings 1408 and 1409.
