Statement of Work VISN 23 Grossing Station Replacement Procurement Background: Several sites in VISN 23 are in need of replacing their current grossing stations in the Histology Laboratories. These grossing stations have reached the end of their life expectancy and we have begun to see an increase in the stations experiencing issues that require a service call. The increased downtime of these machines greatly impacts the speed and efficiency of the labs throughout the VISN in performing specimen examination. Additionally, the labs are seeking a newer model of grossing station which has additional features that would increase the speed, efficiency, and safety of the staff performing specimen examinations. Purpose of Project: Replace 8 grossing stations throughout VISN 23. Specifically, 4 in Minneapolis and 1 each in Omaha (NWI), Fargo, Central Iowa, and Iowa City.
