The project consists of maintenance dredging approximately up to 2,300,000 cubic yards (cy) from the deep-draft federal navigation channels serving the Port of Baltimore. The work is to be performed between November 2025 through March 2026. The dredging depth for all channels is between 35 and 50 feet mean lower low water (MLLW) with an additional 1 ? 2 foot of allowable overdepth. Approximately up to 1,830,000 cy will be dredged from the Maryland approach channels (Brewerton Eastern Extension, Swan Point, Craighill and possibly Tolchester Channels) and placed at the Paul S. Sarbanes Ecosystems Restoration Project at Poplar Island. Approximately 500,000 cy will be dredged from Baltimore Harbor Channels (Brewerton, Brewerton Angle, and Seagirt West Channels) and placed at the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. The work areas are within heavy commercial waterways supporting the Port of Baltimore.
