DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems, is seeking to combine two small caliber ammunition contracts into a single contract and seeking to identify potential sources capable of delivering 9mm M882 Ball ammunition, 9mm Modular Handgun System (MHS) ammunition, and Shotshell ammunition. The 9mm M882 is fired the M17, M18, and M9, M11 weapons or Government Approved Commercial Equivalent. MHS is fired from the M17, M18, APC9K submachine gun, and M9, M11 or Government Approved Commercial Equivalent. 12 Gauge Shotshell ammunition is intended for use in manual and semi-automatic shotguns chambered to fire 12 Gauge, 2 ammunition (Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870) for training and tactical purposes. The 10 Gauge blank shotshell is used for rendering military honors during ceremonies such as reveille, retreat, funerals, retirements, and change of command. It is fired from a 75mm WWII Cannon using a 10-gauge adapter.
