SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Current Procedural Technology (CPT) Codes Subscription FBO Notice: 36C77625Q0278 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Central Office (VACO) Library requires a license that allows VHA to use the CPT codes to capture the services provided to our Veteran patients. These codes are used to transmit workload to the National Patient Care Database (NPCD), the Allocation Resource Center (ARC), Decision Support Systems (DSS), registries (cancer, CDC, etc.), third party payers, Congressional reporting, etc. The CPT codes are mandated, by HIPAA, to be used on all electronic transactions. A license can only be purchased through the American Medical Association (AMA) this is a registered trademark product.
