This is a Design-Build (DB) project for the Runway 7-25 (RW 7-25) infield area at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The DB project includes a storm drain infiltration basin design and repair of the existing storm drain system, which currently experiences ponding water around the airfield. This ponding water becomes a bird attractant, which creates hazardous conditions for aircraft operating on RW 7-25. This infield drainage project will improve the drainage of the existing storm drain system and add infiltration basins to support a more efficient storm drain system. The project includes RW 7-25 infield drainage design, along with replacing existing catch basins, manholes, and storm drain pipes.
