USNS ROBERT E. SIMANEK (ESB 7) Lay Berth and Ship Repair. To enhance the vessel?s maintenance status, the vessel will enter a long-term lay berth, maintenance, and overhaul period. The contractor shall provide facilities, services, labor and materials to provide berthing, preventive maintenance industrial assistance, planning, material procurement and execution of a maintenance and repair availability as detailed herein. Due to operational and national security availability considerations, the location shall be US East or Gulf Coast. MSC will retain a limited crew (Engineering and/or Deck officer(s)) comprising of the SMT. Amendment 0001: 1. Revise table 2 of Section C; 2. Revise solicitation attachment J-6, Representations and Certifications; 3. Replace FAR 52.204-8 with FAR 52.204-8(Deviation); 4. Answer RFC 1 - 8; and 5.
