Notice of Intent: Sole Source Law Enforcement radio communications in San Bernardino County, CA Overview Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Law Enforcement (LE) radio communications are a critical requirement for BLM Law enforcement officers (LEOs) to safely perform all the required duties that LE¿s. LEOs assigned to the Barstow Field Office, routinely operate in areas without the ability to communicate with dispatch and backup officers once they leave their vehicle. The requirement for reliable handheld radio communications extends to virtually all areas LEOs patrol such as urban interface, high traffic routes, wilderness, ACECs, and OHV areas. It is critical that the contractor provide BLM with reliable critical network for the radios.
