This notice is being published in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is 10 U.S.C. ? 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b), ?Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold.? The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District (NAB) intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Mirion Technologies (Canberra), Inc. Inc. to service, repair, and calibrate two non-operational in-situ Object Counting System (ISOCS) detectors. These include one (1) electrically cooled ISOCS detector (AEGIS model) and one (1) liquid nitrogen-cooled ISOCS detector (GC6020 model). Both detectors are to be fully restored to operational status. This includes diagnostic testing, execution of all required repairs including additional or unforeseen repairs necessary to restore full functionality, and final calibration and/or characterization to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
