The 23d Contracting Squadron made a sole source award to MASTODON DESIGN LLC for Body-worn Antennas. The products include three different types of Body-worn Antennas listed below: 1) Assy, GPS Body-worn Antenna, SMA/ Part Number (MD1008-1400-01) 2) Assy, Multiband Body-worn Antenna (30-520)/ Part Number (MD1008-1710-01) 3) Assy, UHF/L-Band Multiband Body-worn Antenna (225-500, 1250-1390, 1750-1850, 2200-2500)/ Part Number (MD1008-1750-01) This award synopsis follows FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) due to MASTODON DESIGN LLC as them being the only vendor that can provide the requirement in need. Attached will be the Single Source Justification & Approval stating the competition efforts made by Moody AFB to maximize competition. Due to the lack of competition and technical acceptance of the products in the market; this award was made to MASTODON DESIGN LLC.
