A Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) is a written agreement between one or more federal laboratories and one or more non-federal parties under which the government, through its laboratories, provides personnel, facilities, equipment or other resources with or without reimbursement (but not funds to non-federal parties). The non-federal parties provide personnel, funds, services, facilities, equipment or other resources to conduct specific research or development efforts that are consistent with the mission of the laboratory. “Contractor” means the DOE Facility Contractor/Laboratory Operator. “Participant” means the non-federal party to the CRADA. All CRADA negotiations are subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) review and approval. DOE does not allow altering of the double-underlined text found in the terms and conditions. Confidentiality: Information properly marked and provided by the Participant as “Proprietary Information” under the CRADA is generally to be treated by Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, (BEA) as confidential, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
