The project involves drilling a geothermal well to measure the thickness and test the properties of the Hartville Formation and the underlying formations, such as the Guernsey, Flathead, and Pre-Cambrian Formations. The drilling is planned to reach a maximum measured depth of 14,000 feet. The conceptual design of the well aims to comprehensively measure the temperature, pressure, and productivity of the formations, with a particular focus on the Hartville Formation.
