The United States Marshals Service (USMS), Prisoner Operations Division, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii)Commercial Item Test Programfor the procurement of prisoner transportation services for the District of Alaska. This procurement will result in the award of a Time-and-Materials (T&M) contract to: Alaska State Troopers 5700 East Tudor Road Anchorage, AK 99507 The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 561612 Security Guard and Patrol Services, and the Product Service Code is V127 Transportation/Travel/Relocation-Transportation: Security Vehicle. The purpose of the proposed sole source contract action is to acquire secure prisoner transportation support service for the District of Alaska. The transportation support services require armed transportation officers and appropriate vehicles to transport federal detainees between detention facilities and courthouses in Anchorage and optionally Fairbanks and Juneau.
