THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), California - Great Basin Region, intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with KTR Corporation to troubleshoot the elevator brake system located at Northern California Area Office (NCAO) Shasta Dam under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This requirement includes troubleshooting, repairing, and a full commissioning of the elevator brake system to ensure compliance with applicable safety codes and manufacturer specifications. A sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Tasks anticipated to be completed but not be limited to the following: 1. Perform a detailed inspection and diagnostic evaluation of the elevator brake system. 2. Identify root causes of performance issues and faults by checking: - KTR Emergency Brake Oil Temp Fault - KTR Brake Oil Temp Fault - KTR Brake Pressure Switch Fault 3. Adjust all air gaps 4. Remove any air from the brake system 5. Set up the hydraulic unit to perform according to the design specifications 6.
