The FAA has a requirement for remediation of contaminated soil at two sites on the former FAA Station at the Summit Airport near Cantwell, Alaska. Below is an abbreviation of the statement of work and no attachments will be provided until solicitation: The work consists of preparing a work plan for soil remediation and soil sampling in accordance with Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s (ADEC) of August 2024 Field Sampling Guidance, and Site Characterization Work Plan and Reporting Guidance for Investigation of Contaminated Sites (ADEC March 2017), then performing the remediation of the soil and soil sampling in accordance with the approved work plan. The contractor is requested to provide a detailed technical approach for how best to remediate a large volume of contaminated soil at a remote, but accessible, location. The remedial action needs to take place within a period of two summer construction seasons.
