Dual-Temperature Food Transport Cart 1. PURPOSE Tallahassee requires a heavy-duty dual-temperature food transport cart capable of maintaining both heated and refrigerated food products during institutional meal service operations. The unit shall be designed for correctional or high-volume institutional food service environments. 2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide a new, commercial-grade dual-temperature transport cart meeting the following minimum salient characteristics and specifications. 3. CONSTRUCTION a. Exterior construction shall consist primarily of stainless steel. b. Exterior surfaces shall be minimum 18-gauge stainless steel construction. c. Base frame shall be minimum 16-gauge reinforced stainless steel with cross-channel support. d. All welds shall be ground and polished. e. Cart shall include reinforced corners and fittings suitable for institutional or correctional environments. f. Fasteners shall be tamper-resistant or security-type construction. 4. DIMENSIONS a.
