The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Nalco Water, of Naperville, IL for continuous monitoring of the water quality of potable cold-water systems at (7) OVAHCS facilities in Orlando, FL. NCO 8 anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Priced contract. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR Subpart 13.5, only one responsible source reasonably available to satisfy the agency requirements. The applicable NAICS Code is 541990 Other Professional, Scientific, Technical Services, with a small business size standard of $19,500,000.00. The Veterans Health Administration currently has one of the most comprehensive Legionella prevention policies in the country and the OVAMC, Orlando Florida has meticulously reviewed their Legionella prevention activities to verify compliance with VHA requirements.
