The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competitive basis the following items: Windscreen De-Icing Research/Development (Qty 1 Lot). This requirement is sole sourced to Acree Technologies Inc., 1037 Shary Cir. Ste. E, Concord, CA 94518-4700 as the only company with the required, extensive R&D experience/expertise within the field of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coatings and Aluminum-doped Zinc Oxide (AZO) coatings that meet the electrical resistance and transmission requirements for heater film used for specific de-icing. Additionally, Acrees vacuum coating chamber is equipped with magnetron sputtering that is large enough to uniformly coat the necessary, flat coupons.
