Special Notice

*** THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE*** The purpose of this pre-solicitation notice is to provide notice of Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic?s intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Inc. for replacing or remanufacturing two of the OA-9243A(V)3 Antenna Tilt Group (ATGs). The Government intends to negotiate solely with SAIC under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Selecting a different ATG from another manufacturer would require a redesign of the ship?s cabling, foundation, and system configuration, which is beyond the scope of this effort. The ATG provided by this procurement must have the same electrical and physical interfaces of the ATG it is replacing so that no ship modifications are required. SAIC provides a refurbished unit with stainless steel (CRES316) hardware on all external fastening points and bearing faces. This is a government requirement established for corrosion control and prevention of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
