THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled “Replace Roofs” at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Cumberland, MD 21502. FCI Cumberland is a Federal Correctional Institutional facility located at 14601 Burbridge Road, SE, Cumberland, Maryland 21502. The work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope: “Replace Roofs throughout the Federal Correctional Institution (approximately 88,084 sq. ft.) and the Federal Prison Camp (approximately 23,315 sq. ft)." The responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals unless stated otherwise in the Statement of Work for the removal of the current Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) flat roofing system and the installation of flat Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing material throughout.
