This is a Special Notice to advise that the Government intends to solicit a sole source firm-fixed price, contract for Proficiency Testing Supplies to The College of American Pathologists (CAP), 325 Waukegan Road, Northfield, Illinois 60093. This acquisition is for the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System at 2601 Veterans Drive, Harlingen, TX 78550-8942. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one source will meet the Government s needs. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), requiring publication of the proposed contract action. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) any business that believes it can provide Proficiency Testing Supplies may submit a capabilities statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, by providing written notice to [email protected] by 08/21/2025.
