The NTSB Office of the Managing Director, Special Operations Division (MD-5), has a requirement for unlimited monthly service for 126 previously purchased SpotX brand name satellite messaging devices. Funding for this requirement was provided under PUR250132 in the amount of $43,299.61. The solicitation for this effort was posted to the Contract Opportunities page on SAM.gov on September 23, 2025, as an unrestricted purchase in accordance with FAR Part 13 procedures. The evaluation methodology used was lowest-priced, technically acceptable (LPTA), and no set-asides were applied. Market research did not identify a sufficient number of small businesses to justify a small business set-aside.
